Sangria

Instructions

  • 1. Slice 2 oranges and lemons. Combine sliced fruit and sugar in large punch bowl (or 2 pitchers) and mash gently with wooden spoon to release some juice and dissolve sugar, about 1 minute (do not crush fruit completely).
  • 2. Juice remaining 2 oranges, discarding spent fruit. Add fresh squeezed juice, wine, and triple sec to bowl. Cover and refrigerate until flavors meld, at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours. Before serving, add 12 to 16 ice cubes and stir briskly to distribute settled fruit and pulp.
